The Scherer Memorial Golf Benefit

In 2000 CSC approached The Arc of Madison County about organizing a golf benefit as a way to provide financial support. The catalyst was Mike Scherer, a long time supporter and former Arc Board President. After Mike’s death in 2006, the tournament was renamed the Scherer Memorial Golf Benefit in Mike’s honor.

Throughout the years, the golf benefit has provided much needed funding to The Arc of Madison County. Matching funds have become available for many of the tournaments. This has become The Arc’s largest fundraiser and is known as one of the better-organized and fun-filled tournaments in the Huntsville area. Learn how you and/or your company can be a part of this great event.

 Church or Organization Drives

When groups come together to raise donations of money and/or items, everyone really benefits. Certainly the clients do, but also the groups themselves as they build stronger connections with each other and the community and each individual also receives the heart-warming feeling that only being of service can offer. If your company, civic, association or church organization is looking to have some positive impact in the community call us for the latest list of our needs.
