Driver: Class B CDL, Part-time, up to 29 hours a week, Monday-Friday.  Working with adults with intellectual disabilities in the community. Starting pay $8.00-$10.00/hour, according to qualifications. Must be at least 25 years of age with a valid high school diploma/GED.  Pre-employment drug screening is required. Job Coach – Project Search: Part-time, Perform job analysis, task analysis, and situational assessments with potential employee at work sites. Monitor quality of work and provide assistance when needed to employee on job site. Help network, build business liaisons, and locate employment opportunities in the community. Consult with the employer to review employee’s job performance and resolve problems. Qualifications are high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Alabama driver’s license and at least 25 years of age. Pre-employment drug-screening required.  Apply online at  www.hsvarc.org.

Assembler: Duties include but not limited to assembling components for box assembly, performing quality control of work, completing production and quality forms,. Transition Specialist: This position requires, but isn’t limited to, clear and well-written documentation skills, basic computer skills, ability to instruct pre employment skills to students with intellectual disabilities, travel to schools within Madison County,  transporting students in the community, collaboration with teachers and other professionals. Requirements include a valid Alabama driver license, experience working with the school system is desired but not required. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., M-F, but may vary depending on the needs of the students, and at least 25 years of age. Community Aide: Assisting adults with intellectual disabilities in volunteering in the community and touring potential work sites. Duties will also include working one-on-one with an individual to help increase production or other work skills. Position is for 4 hours a day, Monday through Friday, $8.25/hour. Qualifications are high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Alabama driver’s license, good verbal and written communication skills, and at least 25 years of age. Full Time Shift employees: The Arc of Madison County is always looking for people with a heart for service to assist those residing in our group homes. We have full time positions available with rotating weekends and benefits. This work is truly a calling as special attention is needed to help those with intellectual disabilities take care of themselves. Part-time, Classroom Aide: Part-time, up to 29 hours a week, Monday-Friday, $8.25/hour. Responsibilities include accompanying individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community for volunteer opportunities, job assessments, etc., assisting in the program area with contract work, training objectives, attending to individuals’ needs, and other duties as needed. Qualifications: must be at least 25 years old, have a valid Alabama driver license, high school diploma or GED, able to lift at least 50 pounds. Pre-employment drug screening is required.
