The Arc of Madison County was once again awarded a $10,000 from the Huntsville Hospital Community Health Initiative. This grant provides medical and dental services for people with disabilities. Executive Director Susan Klingel accepted the grant on behalf of The Arc.
The Madison County District Attorney’s Office donated proceeds from their golf tournament to The Arc. The donation totaled $4,750. Thank you to the District Attorney’s Office for including us!
Torch Helps, Inc., an employee group from Torch Technologies, Inc., donated $7,500 to The Arc for the purchase of a car for The Arc’s Infant Toddler Program. This donation will be matched with a grant from Senator Shelby to purchase the vehicle. Thank you Torch Technologies employees!
The Arc of Madison County received a second tier grant in the amount of $50,000 from the Jane K. Lowe Charitable Foundation. This grant will be used to match federal funds through a grant from Senator Richard Shelby to purchase vehicles to expand the transportation program and aid services provided by The Arc.
The Alabama Civil Justice Foundation presented The Arc with a grant for $3,500. The grant will be used as matching funds to purchase vehicles through the federal grant from Senator Richard Shelby.
The Northrup Grumman Employees Charity Organization (ECHO) presented The Arc of Madison County $1,547.20 to purchase medical supplies for use in our programs.
The Arc of Madison County was awarded $4,000 from Pratt & Whitney to purchase a car for our residential Registered Nurse through the federal grant from Senator Richard Shelby.
The United Way Youth Leaders awarded $265 to The Arc of Madison County to purchase software. Thank you to our Youth Leaders!
Senator Richard Shelby helped The Arc secure a grant through the Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $175,000 to aid in the construction of the new administrative office building.
Dan Montgomery from Northrup Grumman presented a check for $500 for to help support music therapy for The Arc’s Infant Toddler Program.
