April 20, 2012 is the date for the Arc of Madison County's 13th Annual Mike Scherer Memorial Golf Benefit. The benefit is named after Mike Scherer, a former president of the Board of Directors and a founding member of the golf tournament. After his passing in 2006, the tournament was renamed in his memory to honor his dedication and support of The Arc.
As our biggest fundraising event of the year, the golf benefit is very important to the Arc, and especially to our clients. Over the last twelve years, the benefit has raised over $2 million. This kind of support is very much appreciated by the hundreds of individuals with disabilities in Madison County that the Arc serves. Your contributions go to help people of all ages and backgrounds, and with a wide variety of needs.
