One of the McKemy Ce nter's quieter employees, Paul is pensive but very friendly. "Once he brings you into his circle," says Terry Haisten, a staff member, "then you're always there. He will always care about you." Paul has been working at the Center for four years, and most enjoys it because of the people. "It's a nice place to come visit friends," he says.
Paul lives at the Whitehall group home with his coworker, Tim C., and two other roommates. Every weekend, however, he goes home to visit his mother, step-father, and three siblings in Hazel Green, Alabama. There, he especially loves to go fishing with his step-father.
Outside of work, Paul exercises, watches television, and plays video games. He is also regular churchgoer and likes gospel music, as well as country. Most of all, Paul enjoys spending time with others, whether his family, his roommates, or his coworkers. |

Do you use eBay? The Arc is now registered with eBay Giving Works, a program that makes it easy for sellers on eBay to donate a percentage of their sale to their favorite nonprofit organizations. Here's how it works:
If you're selling an item on eBay, you can create a special eBay Giving Works listing and choose to donate 10% to 100% of the final price to the Arc. Your item listing will also link to the Arc's eBay homepage, drawing attention to our mission and programs. eBay will even give you back a portion of their fees equal the percentage you donated.
Meanwhile, the Arc's eBay home page will list every item for sale that will be donating to us, with a link to those items. This will draw more attention - and bidders - to your listing!

Although many organizations in Huntsville offer corporate matching for charitable donations, few employees ever take advantage of it. However, if your employer is on the list below, this can be a great way to maximize your contribution to the Arc.
Please follow the link below to see if your company is willing to match donations. If they are, you can effectively double (or even triple) your donation by filling out a simple corporate matching gift program form from your company's Human Resources department. Once you return it, the HR department will take care of the rest. If you're been kind enough to give to the Arc, then there's no reason not to use this opportunity to make your gift go even further.
