2013 Mike Scherer Memorial Golf Benefit

April 26, 2013 has been chosen as the date for the 14^th Annual Mike Scherer Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit the Arc of Madison County. The benefit is named after Mike Scherer, a former president of the Arc’s Board of Directors and a founding member of the golf tournament. After his passing in 2006, the tournament was renamed in his memory to honor his dedication and support of the Arc.

As our single fundraiser event of the year, the golf benefit is very important to the Arc, and especially to our clients. Over the last thirteen years, the benefit has raised money for many of the Arc’s needs, including renovation and construction of our facilities, vehicle purchases, providing nursing services to our clients, purchasing equipment, and offering music therapy services to our children.

Golf tournament proceeds to date (including matching funds): $2,577,105
